The Greenbank's biggest asset is that the harbour is not simply nearby — it is the setting. Rooms, dining and the waterside position combine into a coastal break where the view is part of breakfast, dinner and the time between them.
The Greenbank's biggest asset is that the harbour is not simply nearby — it is the setting. Rooms, dining and the waterside position combine into a coastal break where the view is part of breakfast, dinner and the time between them.
Water's Edge is The Greenbank's 2 AA Rosette restaurant, set along the harbour-facing side of the hotel. Executive Chef Nick Hodges and Head Chef Bobby Southworth lead a seasonally driven menu built around Cornish seafood, local meat, artisan dairy and vegetables.
The cooking is modern British with a strong Cornish identity and occasional fusion influences. Representative dishes publicised by the hotel and press include hake with saffron, lemon and crab risotto and vegetable-led dishes such as homity pie with seasonal vegetables. Dinner is served Monday-Saturday from around 6pm/6.30pm; Sunday focuses on the hotel's Sunday menu.
The dress code is smart casual. The restaurant is on site, with harbour views forming a real part of the experience rather than simply the backdrop.
The hotel has 61 rooms in its historic harbourside building. The room choice matters: the experience is strongest when the category makes the most of the water, so a harbour-view upgrade can add more to the break than a long list of extra facilities.
The Greenbank is not a conventional spa hotel. Direct-booking benefits can include access to the sister Falmouth Hotel's pool and discounts on treatments, while The Greenbank also has a wood-fired sauna offer. The main form of retreat remains the harbour setting and Falmouth itself.
The hotel's setting in Falmouth makes it a natural base for the surrounding area as well as a place to stay for dinner. For a two-night break, allow time outside the dining room rather than treating the property as a one-evening stop.
Indicative build-your-own Gourmet Getaway: the indicative price shown in the price panel combines our current accommodation-and-breakfast benchmark with the selected restaurant's dining cost for two. It is designed for comparison and research and is not an official hotel package price. Because accommodation and menu prices can change, use the live price panel as the current indicative figure.

Google Hotel data shows a 4.6/5 rating from more than 1,500 reviews. The strongest established themes include service, dining, rooms, nature and location, which fits the hotel's position as a scenic food-led coastal break.
The Greenbank Hotel works best when the hotel, restaurant and setting are treated as one trip rather than three separate bookings. Choose the room and dinner first, then use the surrounding time to make the break feel like a proper retreat.
Based on one night's accommodation and breakfast for two, plus dinner for two. The dinner menu or number of courses is shown below where known.
