St Enodoc in Rock has been refreshed within Paul Ainsworth's collection, with estuary-facing rooms and a new dining choice centred on Estuary Grill.
The hotel has undergone a substantial dining refresh, so its present food offer deserves to be described on its own terms instead of inheriting the former Brasserie's identity.
Estuary Grill is the hotel's current named restaurant, featuring locally sourced meat and seafood cooked over an Asado grill with Indian Ocean-inspired flavours. Flour Garden offers Neapolitan-style pizza and lighter outdoor food, while the bar and terrace suit a drink. Older references to The Brasserie no longer reflect the current dining line-up, so reserve the restaurant by its present name.
At Estuary Grill, an Asado fire anchors a menu of Cornish seafood and meat with Indian Ocean accents. Flour Garden moves in a different direction, with hand-stretched pizzas and lighter garden food, while the bar and terrace provide drinks with a view. Book the Grill specifically for the main dinner. The AA's still-visible one-Rosette record refers to the former Brasserie, so that award should not be represented as newly verified for Estuary Grill.
The rooms and suites have different sizes and views across the estuary or gardens, accommodating couples and families. Select the room category and outlook deliberately and check breakfast and dinner terms when booking; the restaurant refresh does not itself establish what is included in a particular stay.
Estuary or garden outlooks and room size vary, and the hotel presents accommodation for solo guests, couples and families. The rebuilt public spaces give the property a different feel from its older photographs or reviews. Check whether the selected rate includes breakfast, dinner or any activity rather than assuming a historic Brasserie package still describes what is sold now.
The Camel Estuary, Rock and nearby coastal activities provide the setting for a slower break. The hotel advertises wellness classes rather than a conventional large spa, so check what is scheduled during your stay and make time for the shoreline.
The hotel promotes wellness classes and activities around the Camel Estuary. A visitor might explore Rock and the water in daylight, then return for a view-led dinner. Current class schedules and any treatment provision should be confirmed directly, as the new site does not justify describing a large, all-access thermal spa.
