JA Mar Hall is a five-star country estate on the River Clyde near Bishopton, combining a historic mansion with golf, spa facilities and several places to dine. Eat

The Dining Room serves contemporary Scottish food in the main house and is the natural choice for a more considered evening meal. Sunday lunch has its own seasonal menu, while The Clubhouse provides a more informal setting beside the golf course. These two venues give guests a choice between a restaurant-led night and a relaxed meal after time outdoors.

The Gallery is used for coffee, afternoon tea and drinks, and Slàinte is the hotel’s cocktail bar. Al fresco dining adds another setting when conditions allow. Book the main restaurant and check package allowances directly with the hotel.

Sleep

Rooms range from Classic accommodation to Junior, Deluxe and Grand Suites, with Garden Suites and Spa Garden Suites offering more separate bases around the property. River, garden, hill and golf-course outlooks are attached to specific categories, so select the room for the view and layout you actually want.

Spa Garden Suites are the current dog-friendly accommodation. The hotel applies a nightly pet fee and provides a bed and water bowl, while access rules differ between the grounds and indoor food-service areas. Families can request extra beds or interconnecting options.
